Things started early in the morning ... at 3:36am to be exact
The ladies laughed and swept the sleep from their eyes as hair and make-up commenced. The family dog - TJ - was unsure about all the fuss and snuck himself into a picture or two. The house was (what seemed like) suddenly filled with family toasting Selina and she and Nick as a couple before starting the drive to St Brigid's, Red Hill. As for the boys? After getting ready they made a short pit stop at Maccas before heading to the church. *Click the images to view full screen*
As Selina walked down the isle she was a sight to behold. She was the picture of perfection you could tell everyone thought so... None more than Nick though. His eyes lit up, his smile widened - the minute he saw his bride. A wedding mass in St Brigid's is something to behold. Full of ceremony and significance and memorable moments.
After the service the bridal party took off to head to the Goodwill Bridge for some photos at the exact spot ... at the exact lock ... where they had inscribed their names on a padlock, locked it to the bridge and thrown away the key. A special spot indeed.
Then racing off (with a stop or two with strangers offering their congratulations) to make it to the Disney decorated lunchtime reception at Rydges. Complete with Beauty and the Beast inspired centerpieces, a Mad Hatters lolly bar ... and let's not forget a roving magician!! All this with the backdrop of Southbank and the city skyline... If you're after a reception spot in Southbank I can highly recommend Rydges!
The maid of honour's speech brought the house down making everyone roar with laughter. It was the perfect mix of heartfelt and funny... with just a smidge of sass. Parents and friends spoke from the heart and shared stories. And Nick and Selina spoke of their love - their love for their family, their love for their friends and their abundant love for each other.
After it was all said and done we snuck away ... just the two of them and me. To let it all sink in and the capture the magic of the moment one last time...
Thank you Nick and Selina for inviting me along for the ride. It was such a honour to be allowed into your lives to document these moments that matter!

Pst! You may recognize a familiar face or two. I first met Nick and Selina photographing his best man Alex's wedding last year (Click here to see that one!).
